It's official...Delaney is a competitive cheerleader (bite your tongues, critics!). She loves it...and it's just too damn cute! Here are pics from today in Mt. Prospect. All the girls on the TINY squad got their own trophy...and she's just so proud!

A GORGEOUS Fall Day at Brookfield

We've been lazy bums lately, and not taking advantage of our Fridays at all. We've just been coming home from Grammie and Poppy's to just hang out at home. Well, we took advantage of a gorgeous fall day, and went to Brookfield Zoo, where we met up with Nichole and Paige. We were there from about 10-2:30, and now, the girls are wiped out. I did my job successfully today.

The girls enjoyed some whipped topping, straight from the bucket last night, along with a very tasty Astronaut ice cream sandwhich. YUM!

After the fun fall-in-the-leaves afternoon, we brought the tent into the house, and the girls 'camped' in!

So, I'm a proud and sad parent right now. Delaney has been in pre-school for over a month, and she loves it. Today is picture day at school, so this is what she wore. She just looks so old and mature to me...it saddens me, yet there's so much pride.

We went shopping Sunday morning for the girls' Halloween costumes. Every time we ask, Katie has a new answer on what she wants to be, so when we saw this, it was just too damn cute to pass up!

Delaney has been asking to be Glenda, the Good Witch, for weeks now, so we ordered her costume last night.

SICK SUNDAY

Well, Kate was sick from Thursday-Friday, and Delaney was sick on Sunday. Luckily, both girls were feeling great on Saturday, so we took a trip to Nana's new place in Iowa. We had a great time!!! We enjoyed a picnic on the floor, a gorgeous day at a amazingly beautiful park, where the girls swam in their underwear and t-shirts (too bad I forgot my camera), and then headed back to play at a local playground and then to dinner.

Yesterday, both girls were pretty wiped out. Kate is just getting over a virus and fever, and Ney had a fever and a belly-ache. I got some pics of them being pathetic on the couch-bed!
