Thanks to Nana, Grammie, Poppy, and (of course) the Easter Bunny...the girls had a great Easter. The Easter Bunny filled their baskets with too much candy and then left some fun bubbles and a new kitty webkinz. Even Rowe got one! Then the girls searched for eggs in the houes and later had a great outdoor egg hunt

Long Time, No Post
Sorry for the lack of posting on here. After Easter I really had to focus on school stuff...and it's wonderful to say "I'M DONE." Even if it is only for a few weeks.
So, we had Easter and now Uncle Brian is visiting. We're having a good time. And, now to update the blog with stories and pictures.

Easter Eggs
I still don't get this tradition...however, it's fun, I love it, and I love hardboiled eggs! (And, love when Nancy comes into town and makes deviled eggs for me!). Last night we dyed our eggs. The girls had fun, and were done so fast! We prolonged the process by showing them how to dye them 2 different colors after the first 10 went so fast! Note Peter's focus in most of the pictures...the Cubs game was on. Ahahahhah! Oh--and a side note...Rowena slept though Pete and I eating dinner TOGETHER and egg dying. I was amazed!
Moon Sand
I'm not a big fan of messy things...so when Delaney got Moon Sand for her birthday (TWO years ago), I was a bit hesitant about her using it. It's usually put up high in the closet, because it is definitely one of those "only when supervised" activities. And, if you know me well, you know that although I LOVE the beach...I HATE sand! It's so gritty and gets everywhere!!! Needless to say, it's a very rare thing we play with...and I don't think they even remembered it. So, yesterday both girls were so good about helping clean up (we all cleaned their room and the basement) together, and then I broke out the Moon Sand. I think I'll let them play with it daily this summer---OUTSIDE! :) They had a blast with it, and played very well together.
Delaney's Stuffed Animal Menagerie
Delaney's love for animals has never been a secret. In fact, all she ever asks for when it's her birthday or Christmas is a new pet...a puppy, cat, or HAMSTER (her new obsession). She says she either wants to be "an animal doctor" or a farmer. Here are some pictures of Delaney's private animal collection.
If you think that's a lot...you should see her bed! Many nights Pete and I are surprised she can actually fit up there!!!
Rowena at 6 Weeks
Rowena is doing well. She's now 1 1/2 months, and seems so big already. She's reacting more to those around her, smiling and coo'ing now and then. She's still sleeping the same--eating every 3-4 hours at night. I'm ready for longer stretches, but I guess she's not. She loves bathtime, laying on her back to look around, and "running" (where we take her legs while she's laying down and move them in a running motion). Katie loves to make Rowe "run," it's pretty cute! Katie is also big on telling and explaing things to Rowena--very sweet. Delaney is great at responding to Rowe's crying, helping out with getting her paci or covering her with a blanket. Rowena sure is lucky to have such wonderful, attentive big sisters! Here are a couple pics of Rowe napping in her bassinet. Our little sleeping beauty...
