It's amazing how quickly they grow and change!!! However, our Charlie isn't growing as quickly as he should (hmm...seems like we've been through this before. Oh, wait, we have--Katie). He went to the doctor at 6 days old and was still 5 oz under his birth weight. At 10 days old, he was still 2 oz under. According to his doctor, most babies surpass their birth weight by 10 days. So, he has to go back on Wednesday for another weigh-in. I just know that soon I will look back on this post and be so sad that he is so big and running around. Why oh why do the infant stages have to pass so very quickly?!?!?
He sleeps like a champ and is wonderful at nursing. (I had such a difficult time with Rowena). He has been more on a schedule the past 2-3 days. He is up from about 8:30am-10:30am and then again from about 6:30pm-9:30pm. He naps really well throughout the day, and during his wakeful periods he is wide awake and very quiet. He sleeps so well at night. In fact, last night, he ate at 2:30 and not again until 7am! Well done, Charlie. Now, if we can only get your sister, Rowe, to not wake up every 1/2 hour beginning at 4am, we'll actually sleep very well!
Until the next Charlie update, here are some recent pictures of our Little Guy...
After his weekend with Nana and his first trip to Grammie & Poppy's
Sleeping soundly in his basinette
Wide awake during "tree trimming" and probably thinking..."So, this is my lot in life, being decorated by my big sister." Rowena decided that Charlie needed decorating more than the Christmas tree.
This was actually taken before he was a week old...chillin' in the basement while Katie and Mom played Barbies. He was so good and slept for a couple hours, Kate was happy!
All dressed up for his "First Christmas" pictures.
