Kate's Trip to American Girl

Grammie took Katie (and me) to The American Girl Store a couple weeks ago (August 1st) for her birthday present. I really wish I had videotaped her reaction when she walked in! The look of awe and sigh she had was so cute! She'd been to "the dolly store" before, but this is our first time at the new location. We walked through the store, listening to Katie's "wish list" and then purchased her presents. She got a beautiful white and blue dress and a matching one for her doll, as well as a cute picnic set. Afterwards, she went to the front of the store to play with her new presents. After a while for that, we had her picture taken and then it was time for lunch. Kate was sung "Happy Birthday" by the staff and enjoyed (little) lunch with her dolly by her side. She says she can't wait to come back with Delaney, and she also wants to go on a horse-carriage ride.
