The First 10 Days...and the Big Girls Too...

So far things have been going very well. Although Rowena had to get a treatment to clean up her belly button (it wasn't healing well), and she had blocked tear ducts (in both eyes), things are going well. Things are clearing up on her, and she's SUCH a good sleeper. We're very fortunate that we've only have a few rough nights. We discovered that we all sleep much better if she's in her own room, so we put her in there on her third or fourth night home. She's sleeping for about 4 hours at a time at night, which is great. She likes bath time, which is a nightly ritual for us, and also loves just hanging out and looking around. Rowena has very alert moments, but if she's held for too long, she'll sleep the day away. She has made her first shopping trip to Babies R Us at just 48 hours old, has gone to preschool (this past Thursday), and tomorrow she's going to grad school. They grow up so fast, don't they?

The (older) girls, as posted below, are doing GREAT as big sisters and adjusting well to the new addition and added chaos to the house. Delaney has recently learned her phone number and almost has her address down. She's having a lot of fun filling out the Dr. Seuss book "All About Me." I'm currently filling out all the paperwork to register her for Kindergarten. HOLY CRAP, right? That's what I'm thinking. She is SO excited to go, especially to ride the bus. Katie is jabber-jaws as usual, with an imagination that never stops. She keeps us entertained without a moment of rest...ahahahah. I'm looking forward to their parent-teacher conferences later this month. I love hearing what the teachers observe in them.

I told Ava that you said it's time for her to be a big girl and sleep through the night. She just stuck her tongue out! She may look like Mike, but she DEFINITELY takes after Mommy in the no-sleep department. I was a nightowl too...and its the one trait I've passed on to my daughter. YAY. Rowe looks so beautiful, Krid. You are a lucky lady. :)
