HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2010!!!

The weather was sunny and in the low 60's.  Girls were dressed and ready to go by 3, and we were off Trick-or-Treating by 3:30.  It was a fun and gorgeous day.  After about an hour of going house to house, the kids were ready to relax back at the house by hanging in the neighbor's garage, riding bikes, and handing out candy to the other Trick-or-Treaters.

Our Girls: Minnie Mouse, Princess Peach, and Yoshi

I just LOVE this picture of Rowso!!!                                             Katie with Natalie...a friend from school

Enjoying some tasty treats!

Screaming at the "scary" decoration we have that goes off when someone walks past it.
And enjoying some bike time too.

McNamara's Halloween Party

YEA for the return of the Annual McNamara Halloween Party!  It's been on hiatus since they had kids and were living in their condo. They moved this past year and have (thankfully) reinstated the event.  We struggled with figuring out a costume for us...as we usually go as a pair, and had to incorporate, or work with the Baby Belly.  Last Mac Halloween party I was pregnant (expecting Delaney) and we went as (don't be offended) Mary and God.  I know, I know...

Anyway, when pregnant with Rowena, we went (not to a party, just for the holiday in general) as Juno and Bleeker.  So, we went back and forth with various ideas and finally decided to go as solo costumes.  Peter went as Tobias Funke from Arrested Development (an old TV show) and I went as Baby's First Halloween...kinda creepy, but it is Halloween, right?

Peter as Tobias Funke................................................................................A Never-Nude

So, we had a great night and stayed out waaaay past my bedtime!  I think we got home around 2:30 or so, and we started and ended the party...(first ones there, last to leave).  Not bad for someone 34 weeks pregnant, right?  I laughed quite a bit last night and enjoyed the party!

The Hosts: Dennis and Dolly

Lane went as Alan from The Hangover                                 Dolly with Jeff (so disturbing, yet hilarious too!)

Mall Trick-or-Treating

We went to the local mall on Friday night for some Trick-or-Treating.  It was pretty packed with little children in costumes excited for candy from the various participating stores.  There was also a costume contest that Delaney and Katie entered.  When we got home, Delaney was wondering how they would let us know if they won.  I explained I gave my email address, but didn't have the heart to tell them that they probably didn't win.  There were some pretty cute costumes out there, and some very thoughtful, creative ones!  My fave was the Titanic:

The girls enjoyed getting candy and having some pretzels and cheese, but it was a bit too crowded for my liking--not suprising though.  Here are some pics from our night...

Busy Halloween Weekend

We have had a very fun and busy Halloween weekend.  Friday was spent celebrating at Grand Prairie during the day and then we went to the local mall that evening for Trick-or-Treating and a costume contest.  Saturday we dropped the girls off at Grammie and Poppy's so we could to to an adult party at the McNamara's.  Then today was spent in our own neighborhood Trick-or-Treating.  All in all a very fun weekend, but man, it's only 7pm and I am READY FOR BED!  *yawn*  I'm hoping to update with pictures tonight, but we'll see how far I get.

Halloween Festivities at Grand Prairie

On Friday the girls' school had their Fall Parties...i.e. Halloween Party.  I volunteered for Katie's classroom's party, which was fun.  I got to the school around 10 to help set up for the party, then went to the Media Center (aka Library) to watch the Kindergarten Costume Parade.  Peter came with Rowe to watch this too.

After the Parade, we went back to the classroom where the kids took turns at various fun stations.  There was a picture frame craft station, coloring station, game station, and food station.  The kids were so well behaved and had a lot of fun.

Here are two boys from Katie's class: Gavin and Zach.  Zach happens to be the boy that Katie "loves" and is going to marry.  I think he has a thing for her too from the way he was with her when I saw him.  Cute and very nice boy! :)

Katie's Kindergarten Class

Afterwards, Katie and I headed home for some lunch and then she and Peter made cupcakes.  Around 1:30 or so, Katie and I headed back to GP for the afternoon All-School Parade (minus the a.m. kindergarten classes).  So, we were able to see Delaney and her friends, several Daisy Troop friends, and our neighbors.
