A Day at The Shedd

Poppy took the girls and I to the Shedd Aquarium on Monday, August 10th. I didn't take many pictures. I took just a couple outside while the girls made wishes in the fountain. We had a great time though. We saw a bunch of fish, sting rays (Katie's personal fave), turtles, dolphins, and birds. It was a bit crowded and because of that, I didn't take my camera out. We had a nice lunch, looking out over the city and Lake Michigan. Then, we proceeded to go to the dolphin show, where Kate took off on Poppy. Little brat! We had to go to security, and they had her, sitting in a chair, hanging out, getting lots of stickers, and socializing with the staff--STINKER! After the dolphin show, we walked around some more, the girls each picked out a gift at the aquarium store, then we had some ice cream and very stale popcorn outside. It was very hot and humid out, but the sky was gorgeous, and we saw some jets practicing for the Air & Water Show. After our little snack, we got in the car, and headed back to the 'burbs.
