Sipping, Sitting, and Scooting

I love this age! Every day is something new and exciting. It's amazing to watch them learn, explore, and figure things out. Lately, Rowena has learned to sit up unassisted--mind you, she doesn't get to that position on her own. After a few minutes, she tends to topple to one side or another. She's loving this new position, being able to play with toys on a whole new level! And, we brought out some new toys for her...some "big girl" toys. She's also slowly learning how to drink from a sippy cup. We got some new two-handle ones for her, and she seems to like water. Another thing that Rowe is figuring out, is movement. She's starting to scoot, and using her rolling skills to get to where she wants to go. I love watching this! She sees something, looks like she's thinking, and then off she goes...rolling to get to the toy or whatever it is that she's wanting. She's also starting to scoot a little bit. She'll get up on her knees, with her butt in the air, and then use her face to push herself forward. It's quite hilarious to watch. She'll either be up on her arms, or up on her knees...but never both at the same time. I'm sure she'll get that down within the next month or so.
