A Beautiful Day at the Zoo

On Wednesday, we headed to the zoo and spent the day with two other families.  A couple girls from Katie's grade and Daisy troop, and their families met us there for a fun day.  It was just the five of us at first, so we walked around and saw several animals.

The girls were hungry, so we stopped by the park and that's when our friends showed up.

We went to the petting zoo together and had a lot of fun there.
Abby, Lizzie, Sophie, Cassandra, Katie, Charlie, Rowena, Amanda, Delaney, and Sean.

This is probably not a good idea...snuggling with a goat on the ground, especially with her allergies.

Uh oh, allergies have kicked in!
Charlie decided to take a break and sit on the goat.  Just like he does on Riggs.
 Checking out the chickens.

However, this was also where the beginning of the end began.  Katie had to be talked to a few times due to her rude and disrespectful behavior.  She was becoming defiant and not following directions and was being inconsiderate to her friends and family.  So, we decided to leave.  Katie screamed, cried, and stomped her feet the entire walk to the car.  Several times she tried to push the stroller backwards, getting in front of where I was walking.  Then, when we got to the car, she refused to get in.  I had to physically lift her into the car.  Soon after we left, she was fine, but man oh man, was that a long 15-20 minutes.

That night, since Katie and her friend had been behaving poorly lately (and that is an understatement), their sleepover was cancelled.  Delaney's, however, was not.  Kyla came over in time to head to Delaney's softball practice.

Then we came home for some pizza, video games, and playing M.A.S.H.  The girls LOVED this!
