Our final Christmas celebration...Grammie and Poppy's on Sunday. We began the morning around 9:30 or so, all arriving, and having a big family breakfast. Nana and Uncle Joe came over for breakfast, the Bears game (BEARS WIN), and to visit.
Wesley and Leann met Charlie for the first time...
We did stockings almost right away because the girls were excited for another Christmas...
It was hard to hold Delaney and Katie off for long with all the presents under the tree, so after breakfast but before the Bears game, it was gift giving time. The girls had a blast opening all their gifts...
They got clothes...
And toys...
And the inappropriate gift of the year goes to BRIAN!!! Well done--getting underwear for your in-laws. I love it!
The brothers and Leann got Peter and I big gift from them all this year...
A box to live in if we lose our house...ahahahha--totally kidding! However, that is what was said. Joking and making light of things can really help the spirit! We joked about how the large box was for us to live in, if things continue the way they are (no, we are not in jeopardy of losing our home). Nancy threw in that we just need a bridge (to live under)...I lost it with that comment and couldn't stop laughing. Getting in this box was not a simple task for me or Peter, but, it was fun!
Inside the box, we received this...
So, Wesley said we can't use "room" (or lack thereof) as an excuse to not travel. We could barely fit everything in the car as a family of five for a long weekend trip, let alone a family of six! Thanks brothers and Leann...it will be very useful! It's on the car, ready for travel. Now...where do we go first?
All in all...another wonderful Christmas. We thought our celebration ended with this, but it didn't...on Tuesday, December 28th, we had the last Christmas angel visit us (will post on that soon).
