Enjoying the First Snow Fall of the Season

Starting very early on Saturday morning, like around midnight, it began snowing...and continued throughout the night and well into the day.  The girls couldn't wait to go out and play in the accumulated snow.  It was gorgeous out.  Getting up around 3:30 a.m. isn't always the most fun thing to do, but as I sat nursing Charlie, I really enjoyed my coffee and watching the gorgeous snow falling onto the ground.  It really helps get me into the Christmas Spirit!

Here are pictures of the girls enjoying the first snow fall of the year...

Katie supporting her Uncle's show
Rowena getting into snow gear for the first time
She was not a fan of trying to walk in the snow with all that gear on
Trying to make some sort of fort...I think they gave up shortly after the picture (Katie is in the middle with Spencer and Gwen).
The girls really enjoyed the sleigh rides with Peter as the "horse"
Rowe LOVED it and kept signing for more
Trying to get Curt with some snowballs...but he caught almost every single one!
Riggs and Baxter LOVED the weather!
 Making snow angels
They did this throughout the day, everyone taking turns pulling and riding.

Awww! How cool! I saw your comment on my blog - are you in the Chicago suburbs? I went to high school in Palatine and college in Chicago then got dragged to Atlanta by my husband :)
